The
orphanage is only been revealed to us, the moment Squall and the others
remember more of their past. Squall, Quistis, Selphie, Zell and Irvine
once lived together before they were seperated to different homes or
Gardens, but due through the side-effect of using Guardian Forces (whom
are stocked in the memory circle), they forgot about it.
They
all remembered a place near the sea, with a huge flower field aside. A
lighttower and a stone house. a woman in black, whom they all seem to
adore and call matron. It seems clear that their enemy is their matron
from the past, a difficult time, not sure whatever happened.
At
a later rate Edea returns to her house and Squall and the other seem to
figure out more about their past. That they were all together, got
seperated and whatever happend they found a way back to each other and to
their matron.
Squall
finally accepts his past who he was scared of and lives on. Much later in
the game, the flower field near the orphanage is the place Squall and
Rinoa promises each other to take care of one another and to meet each
other when they are seperated.
This
place is close to both Squall's and Rinoa's heart and they do search for
their promised place hoping that the other would be their smiling and
waiting. But, through the Time Compression Squall got mixed up on a
different time-line, but still on the flower field. Rinoa found the right
way back, but could not find her love. Instead she opend the portal to the
Time Compression through her feelings and finds Squall, eventually ending
upon the flower field.
In
the end the promise is not done on the flower field, but at Balamb Garden.
Draw
points
Edea's
house does not have a important role in the game, more in the past and the
end of the game, but it does contain valuable items such as cards,
magazines and of course a draw point.
