For many years, Esthar did not communicated with the outside worl since the Sorceress War has ended and they did not want Deling City get any change to terrorize Esthar again.

Esthar lies in the Southern part of the world, protected by high mountain ranges and a lake by the name Great Salt Lake, which is to be said to be some sort of a graveyard to monsters.

Unlike many other cities, Esthar is a very advanced city and well thought out use of platforms that raise above the city and takes you to any location you want. This city remarkable in light blue and yellow, would be the biggest city in the world, but due to many terrorizing attacks from the past, the city has lived sheltered and protected by a transparent shield that reflects the surrounding views.

The president of Esthar is no one other then Laguna, the father of Squall, so there might be a close connection on Squall liking this city. The story in Esthar itself is not that big, yet the reason of finding Esthar is Squall hoping to see Ellone who might get Rinoa back to him. Many experiences are being answered for both them as use.

Esthar is mainly great for it's many item shops and Elnoyle, which gives you plenty of Energy Crystals.
