Rinoa was based out of the opposite attraction that Squall had. Only someone carefree and spirited like Rinoa had the chance of changing Squall to become more open with his own feelings to others and to trust others.

The personality of Rinoa cannot be seen in any type of game, not even close. Rinoa's personality can be devided into numerous kinds of attractions, honestly, carefree, stubborn, rebel, anxious, spirited, lovable. More words can describe Rinoa, yet these are the ones most people known her by. These characters can be seen as close as Rinoa's, yet a lot are different. Tifa and Aerith from final fantasy vii are seen as a honest person, yet a shy one aswell. Tifa isn't stubborn nor rebellious, but Aerith is like Rinoa kind of flirty and speaks her mind if there is trouble breading. Selphie from final fantasy viii is like Rikku spirited, honestly and caring. Not even someone else you can fit in this line can't be the same as Rinoa is. Her personality is matching the opposite as Squall's personality.

Like Squall, the personality that Rinoa has isn't be seen in our world, only in a fantasy one, for this chance in the world of Final Fantasy VIII. Her personality is unique and still many people seem to describe themselves as her, yet like Squall they do share some attractions, yet not all of them are seen or known.

Rinoa's personality is so made that you either love her or getting annoyed by her free spiriting. My choice for her is loving her personality. I do not get annoyed by her, neither do I seem to reject her of at times. Most people are drawn to her, wanting to hear her feelings and troubles, trying to help her like she helps other people.

Her personality also tells her not to be afraid of being alone, yet she is afraid if someone would hate her. If she would be alone, she would go to people and just start a conversation even without knowing this person, also seen at the very first meeting with Squall and herself. She walks up to him and talks, without asking his name first or saying hey. This action kind of surprises everyone. "Hello" is a clear sentence, said by everyone that wants to start a conversation, yet with a carefree personality as of Rinoa, she instantly start the conversation.

Her role in the game is clearly enough stated to reassure Squall that being alone is something wrong in the world, mostly in her opinion. She states him out that it is good to express your feelings, having someone to talk to. She speaks with her heart, not with her brain nor soul. Rinoa's personality goes deeply in this roaf and promises herself to chance Squall after hearing out how he really is and what his true personality should be like, someone that does care.

This may be the reason why she doesn't go back to Timber, but stay's with the party. She has set her heart to chance Squall, but she never intented to fall in love with him. Either way her personality did grave itself deep in Squall's heart, on a way that when she is gone he starts to miss her voice, her soft touch and her compatibility to endear herself to others.

Like Squall, Rinoa wonders. Not what life has in store for her, but if her friends trully accept her or if she fits in the world of the young SeeD. As trained as she is and how intelligent, she didn't had the training her friends did. Irvine kind of neglected these words and feelings and reassured her that everyone fits everywhere, but you have to fight to get there. Rinoa has to fight to stay with her friends, not to worry if they are alright, but to follow them closely to see what happens and to protect them. These words did a lot of help to her and she doesn't wonder that much anymore, because she knows that the others do care for her, Squall aswell.

Aswell as Squall, Rinoa had a difficult childhood. Loosing her mother on a young age, a father that is never home and becoming rebellious at that time. Squall never could forget his past, becoming lonely as what he is. Rinoa soon left the past for what it is and thought 'bout the future, she accepted her mother's death rather that Squall does for Ellone. Rinoa seems to be stronger on this niveau then Squall is, yet she occassionally breaks through...

She has a strong will, personality, yet both ways or another you break through.
