Rinoa's carefree character surprised a lot of people. Rinoa is the type of girl by you can tell...you either love her or hate her. Many people seem to intertwine into her feelings, her looks and her rather outspoken character. While other were getting annoyed by seeing her as a talkative type, most of them prefer Squall and Quistis, also big fans of this relationship.

Tetsuya Nomura wanted to create Rinoa as far opposite as Squall would be, whoever would go indept in Squall's heart? Rinoa's personality isn't even as most female character, some think she is everything in one, too much to handle at same time.

Many people have their own believe in what Rinoa really is, yet most people do misunderstand the way she thinks. Yes, she has been given the symbol of angel and many see her as a lively brat, bitch or something far more similar.

Rinoa wasn't created to act like a bitch nor as a flirt or whatever you think she is, she is made upon taking part in a love story. This makes good on how she acted when Seifer was death. Rinoa couldn't stay sad for a long time, or else it wouldn't have fit in the story. People would have thought the love for Squall would have come to fast. Therefore she stayed sad at the moment she heared, continueing her playful attitude later on.

Rinoa had to stay the opposite of Squall, so making her sad wouldn't hit any affection on the love story. Rinoa had to stay bright and lively, happy in a way.

Like what I have told with Squall, Rinoa isn't a real person, her personality isn't real, but fantasy. Something like this doesn't exist in our world. Rinoa is a seventeen aged girl, acting normal for her age.

Her personality, feelings, acts and skill are what a girl at her age should do, they can't be changed. Rinoa isn't perfect as bigger fans claim her to be, she does have things what makes her normal. Like expressing her feelings too much and being naïve and straithforward. Unlike Squall, Rinoa can be put in the light side. Rinoa does not step forward to the darkness, but to the demension behind everything, coming together with Squall, whom is trying to step forward.

Rinoa is a open book, Squall is a closed book, becoming one or the Yin-Yang symbol for this. Squall is scared of combining himself with others, Rinoa is afraid of loosing them.
