Deling City, also known the city of eternal darkness, is the main town of Galbadia. It's resised at the north of Galbadia, near the desert.

The first time you visit Deling City is at end of Disc 1. You have a mission requiring to assassinate the sorceress at her own parade, yet first you need a password to enter the General's Mansion.

Deling City is the birthplace of Rinoa, and yet I do not yet know wether she is attached to this place or what. It seemed that Rinoa had a nice life here in Deling City, the great places you can visit, the shops and her friends. Supposely she does visit Deling City, with no attentions of visiting her old man.

Unlike many other towns, Deling City has grown quite a big folk and is very modern for it's age. A lot of symbols regarding the military can be found at a lot of monumens, like the mansion, the flags hanging outside and mostly the big Galbadian signs on them.

Not much is known about Deling City, not much interaction with the town itself, only I think a lot of rich people seem to live there. The president itself isn't really that beloved by most people. Resistance factions in Timber are quite alike to save Timber from his afwul choices. Morally because he had killed a lot of people, just to take over control in Timber.

My first impression of entering Deling City is the darkness, it's always night when you visit this city. A similar city can be seen in the ninth edition of Final Fantasy. The city there is called Treno and might be similar in a lot of way's then Deling City. Another impression is the quite French look the city has, similar to the look Treno has. Many towns in games have a look to our real towns in this world, fantasy like towns are mostly renovated pieces and thoughts of our world.
